PSA for users upgrading to Tosca 12.1

2019-03-18 17:44:28

Dear Community,

We are taking our customers’ feedback seriously and have therefore made upgrades easier by avoiding the need for explicit database migrations whenever possible.

As a direct result of this improvement it is now possible to access e.g. 12.0 repositories with a 12.1 client.
However, this does NOT allow you to operate your environment with mixed client versions.
Please access repositories with new client versions only after all clients that need to work with those repositories have been upgraded as well!

Additional information regarding upgrades:

If you are planning to upgrade your Tosca versions, we’d highly recommend that you follow the steps in our upgrade manual.

We also recommend to always test your upgrades in a test environment which does not use the same repository as your productive environment.
