Buffer - Convert date

This article shows how to convert a date format, which is stored in a buffer

You can convert a date format, which is stored in a buffer, with the help of CALC and TC Set Buffer.

 For example:
{CALC[    TEXT(    "{B[BVVonDate]}"    ;    "JJJJ-MM-TT"     )     ]}

TEXT is the Excel function that is used for converting. The first parameter is the source of the date . The secound one discribes the destination format. The return value is the converted date.

Hy Andrew,

Show Buffer displays a defined buffer in a small pop-up window. The Module "Show Buffer" can be found in the attached subset.
It provides a similar functionality as "translate value" in the commander.
In this example it shows the converted format of "BVVonDate" and "BVVonDAteD" in a small pop-up.
But you actually do not need "Show Buffer" to convert your date format.

Best Regards,
Agnes
