Upload Manual Test Cases from MS EXCEL to TOSCA

Hi Team,

I came across creating the funcitonalities of creating the folder structure, schema path and test sheets using an excel sheet. However, is there any functionality to upload / create Test Cases, Test Steps and Test Step Values, etc using EXCEL?

We are using TOSCA 7.4.2 (and also 8.2.0)

Hy Yogesh,

Out of the box TOSCA doesn't support to create TestCases, TestSteps and TestStepValues using EXCEL.
You would need a AddIn that offers you this functionality. It can be created by yourself using our TCAPI.
The API documentation can be found in the installation directory %TRICENTIS_HOME%\ToscaCommander\TCAPI.chm.
But you can also request a AddIn that provide you this functionality from TRICENTIS. Therefore you would need to write an email to

Best Regards,

Hi ,

Yes, there is another way of doing the same.Instead of giving schema path , we can go for embedding an excel file-
At the Test case base template, Right Click ->
attach file->embedded->ok
To edit the file, we can do ->Take offline and edit
To Save the changes so that they get reflected in Instantiation, right click ->
bring online

Hi, I just tried that and did not work to me... After I added the Excel sheet I could see the excel sheet in TCD but cannot use with the Schema.
So, I just would like to populate all Attributes that I have in my TCD using the Excel document.

Tosca is the perfect solution
