All you need to know about creating a Support Info in Tricentis Tosca


Situation

You have been asked by the Tricentis Support Team to provide a Support Info file -> WHY DO WE NEED THIS FROM YOU?

In some cases, it may be necessary to take a closer look at your installed Tricentis Tosca version and the settings you have specified within your workspaces. The Support Info is a text file which includes all this information, and it helps our support engineers analyze your issues faster.

 

Solution

Please make sure that you create your Support Infos only from opened Tricentis Tosca workspaces!

 

Tricentis Tosca Versions >=8.4:

  1. Open the workspace in Tosca Commander that is causing the issue described in your support incident.
  2. Navigate to Project -> About Tosca.
  3. Click on the Supportinfo button to create the ToscaSupportInfo.txt file.

 

Tricentis Tosca Versions <8.4:

  1. Open the workspace in Tosca Commander that is causing the issue described in your support incident.
  2. Navigate to ? -> Support Info.
    This will start creating the SupportInfo.txt file. Please keep in mind that this may take some time.

 

Reference

The Support Info gives us an insight of your environment and helps us replicate your issue.
This file includes the following details:

  • used settings
  • installed patch level
  • set buffers
  • used storage locations
  • custom control usage
  • etc.


In addition to the support info text files, in some cases we'll also ask you for subsets of executed executionlists or log files. For further information, click here.
