Custom Property for comments which is usable in the whole project

Creation of a custom property.

Situation

This article shows how to create a custom Property. If you want to create a custom property for comments which is in the whole project for a specific type usable you can use this knowledgebase article.

Solution

The Property definition is to find at the Project root folder in the section if you want to create a custom property which is in the whole project for a specific type usable you have to put it in this section. In the following steps you can see how it works.

Check the Type of the Property which you want to create.

Create a component folder and choose with right click CreatePropertyDefinition.

Use the Type which you found out with the TQL as the name of the PropertyDefinition.

Create a Property with the name of the column which you want to add. In this example it is"Test1".

Now it is possible to choose "Test1" in the column chooser, but at the moment it is just possible in this Component Folder.

If you want to use it in the whole project you have to cut it from the component folder and past it in the section "Property definition" at the Project root folder as shown in the next two screenshots.
