License framework change with 10.2
With the release of Tricentis Tosca 10.2, the underlying license framework has changed. If you’re planning to perform an upgrade, please follow the steps below.
Installation 10.2 – best practice:
- Please contact the Tricentis license team (license@tricentis.com) and let them know who should be entitled to manage your licenses! The license team will then enable the access to the license overview on the support portal for this specific user.
- After the access has been enabled, the appointed user will be able to manage all licenses of your company in much more detail via the support portal (https://support.tricentis.com/community/license_overview.do).
For detailed documentation about the new support portal section, please follow the guide at “Need help?” directly on the overview.
If you’re utilizing an on-premise server, you will find all the required information within our webhelp.

HI,
I have sent an email 3 days ago and still waiting for the License team to get back. This is annoying as the wait time is so long to enable the license and till this happen we cannot proceed further. There should be something better option than your team to get back as its taking long waiting time.....

Hi,
in my company we are still running Tosca 10.0 Patch 5, and we are currently not planning to upgrade.
Is it possible to test the lastest version 10.2 just on my own (on one single VM), without harming the current license model?
Br,
Thomas

Hello Thomas,
I can confirm that should be possible without interference with your current license setup. We would recommend to request a Trial version for your testing purposes from here.
Should you ever feel inclined to upgrade, though, please make sure to follow this current KB0012927.
Hopefully, my answer clarifies your inquiry and I look forward to your feedback!
Best regards,
Can Tom Özdogan

I got an email few days ago that my trial license is activated but when I try to connect, I get a message that "There was no endpoint listening at https://license.tricentis.com/CloudAccess/ that could accept the message. this is often caused by an incorrect address or SOAP action. See InnerException, if present, more details." but it doesn't show any more information.

Hello Sridhar,
Please try opening the ports from your firewall and then connect it.I also had the same problem but when I tried to open the port it worked for me.The port number will be found under your cloud license option from Tricentis Support. The port for trial is usually 9991.
Thanks!

I have downloaded the trial versio 10.2 but could not find the licence for that. Can you please tell me the procedure to give the licence for this trial version.
Thanks
Can Tom Özdogan
Dear Chinmoy,
in the first Trial email with the Download link you should have also received a link to the license "Activation Guide".
This will tell you how to get the appropriate license for your Tosca Trial version.
Best regards,
Tom
