Error using CALC function. How get the length from a String?

I am trying get the length from a String in a buffer or attribute from TestCaseDesign.
I was using this function: {CALC[LEN("""{B[Buffer]}""")]} and it's worked for me in the begins, but it is not working with length above 150 characters.

Message error: Error during evaluation of the expression 'LEN("...")' with MS-Excel.
I tryed {CALC[LEN("{B[Buffer]}")]} and {CALC[LEN(""""{B[Buffer]}"""")]}... The same error!

I need get the length from bigger Strings, 300, 400 characters.

Another way to help me, would be a way to do the same that "split" in Java.
I have a big String, like this: "Value 1;Value2;Value3....Value50;Value51"
I need split, for use each value at a time. With the Length i can do it! Have another way to do this?

Hi Davi, did you find an answer to your question yet?

I tried to reproduce your problem, but it turns out that on my machine, CALC works fine with long strings (200+ characters). However, when I have a special character (like ") in the buffer, CALC fails. Does your buffer perhaps contain any such characters?

Kind regards,

Johannes Zwart
