How to use LDAP authentication with TC Shell

How to make LDAP with TCShell work!

Situation

I want to use LDAP authentication with TC Shell!

Solution

1) Copy the file "TCShell.exe.config" from "%TRICENTIS_HOME%"
2) Paste it to %TRICENTIS_ALLUSERS_APPDATA%\Settings\
3) Open the file and search for the section <UserSettings>

Below that section you should find the section

<Tricentis.TCCore.Base.Properties.Settings>

Below that section you need to add

<setting name="AuthenticateByLDAP" serializeAs="String">
<value>True</value>
</setting>

If you start up TC Shell afterwards and give a workspace, you do not need to give any login anymore ,LDAP would be used automatically!

Hi Aman,

please open a ticket in Support so we can check the correct set up of LDAP. The use of LDAP via TCShell requires LDAP configuration in advance!

Thank-you!
