Excel validations in excel 2016

Hello, I need to know if it's possible to make test validations reading an excel file and then validate it's values against a web application, having Excel 2016 installed. According to this article: https://support.tricentis.com/community/article.do?number=KB0012732 I must have installed either Microsoft Excel 2003 or 2007, does this means my tests won't work if only I have excel 2016 installed on my PC?

Also, will Tosca recognize excel files in .xlsx format?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Leonardo,

It is not officially supported, but you can just try it out. I have Excel 2016 installed on my machine as well and I didn't experience any issue so far. Files in .xlsx are also fine.
