Situation

I want to close all browser window/tabs for a particular browser type.

Solution

Internet Explorer:

You can use the following Test steps to close all open IE Browser windows. Refer the following screenshot.

Here the arguments:

/f stands for forcibly.

/im stands for Image Name.

iexplore.exe: Respective name of browser executable.

Chrome: To close all open Chrome browser windows. Refer the following screenshot.

Mozilla Firefox: To close all open Firefox browser windows. Refer the following screenshot.

in order to kill only a specific browser session/instance you can name it using the window title, i.e.

taskkill /F /IM iexplore.exe /FI "WINDOWTITLE eq Demo Web Shop*"
