How to import subset in multiuser mode

Hello Everyone,

In version 12.2 there is a new engine PDF. Relatively there is a new Standard Module "1:1 Compare". Thereform I want to import the Standard.tce subset again, but I've found that there is no possibility to import subset under the multiuser mode (I've checked other projects on my computer, all multiuser mode can't import subset, otherwise no problem)

So I wonder if it does with "checkin all" (but I've also clicked "Checkout Tree") or under multiuser mode Subset can't be imported at all. If possible, what should I do?

Thank you:)

Hello Xinyu,

importing subsets in multiuser projects is possible. however, please remember that the folder where you want to import is checked out. To make sure you use the intended folder, you can also rightclick and select "Import subset" there.

Hope this helps. Kind regards,

I've tried a few times and also look up the manual, it seems that once "Checkin all" is done, Import subset become impossible. Maybe the reason is for the safety and stability of the repository. :)

Ah I've tried it again. Only when the whole project is checked out can i import. But it doesn't work when only a certain folder is checked out:)

Thank you:)

Please create a Component Folder in your Workspace. On this Component folder you are able to import a Subset. When the Import has been finished, feel free to move the imported Modules folder to any other Modules folder.

Importing a Subset to a Module or any other folder is not possible as a Subset may contain other objects, for example Testcases, which cannot be under a Module folder

Actually once the whole project is checked out, we can also import subset even if I've choosen a certain subfolder. But I still think creating a Component Folder is helpful because it is easy for us operator to manage the Component of the Project. Thank you very much:)
