Error: This extension violates the Chrome Web Store policy

Tosca Automation Extension for Chrome stops working


Situation

Tosca Automation Extension for Chrome deactivates itselft causing all existing chrome tests to fail.
Every time after trying to re-enable the plugin manually the following error will be thrown:

SolutioN

  1. First try to clear cache (More tools->Clear browsing data)
  2. Reinstall the extension
    click on More tools->Extensions to open the extensions page and remove the Tosca Automation Extension for Chrome. Install the extension back to your browser by following KB0014793
  3. If none of the above is helpful and the extension deactivates itself automatically please reinstall Google Chrome
