Mobile Engine 3.0 – Appium and Tosca Mobile Assistant no longer part of the installation package

Up to Tricentis Tosca 14.2, both Appium and Tosca Mobile Assistant components were part of the standard installation.

As of Tricentis Tosca 14.2 Patch 1 you must separately download these components through the Support Portal. You can find them in Tosca Mobile Package 14.2 P1 STS.

Alternatively, you can download it here.

Once you download this package, extract its content in a convenient location, and move the following folders to %TBOX_HOME%:

  • Tosca_Mobile Package_14.2_P1_LTS\Appium\Appium, so it looks like presented below:

  • Tosca_Mobile Package_14.2_P1_LTS\ToscaMobileAssistant\ToscaMobileAssistant, so it looks like presented below:

To move these folders to %TBOX_HOME% you need local administrator rights.

Is it just for making the package lighter or do we have any other reason to it? Please elaborate. Thanks in advance.
